Some marketing 'guys' are really intelegent people. I've been unfortunate
to only meet the stupid ones though. Seems to be a surplus of
not-so-cluefull marketing people in the world.

The internic customer list would be perfect for doing what Interland
does.... send out tons and tons of snail mail. I at least read that stuff,
since I can't make it vanish off my desk with a mouse click. :-) Not that
I'd need managed interland hosting (since I have my own bandwidth), but I
bet that some people might go for it, if they're hosting their domain with
someone else anyway.

Either way, it's a pretty smart marketing move on Interland's part.

Anyone that would use that data to send spam would just be asking for a
flogging.
