Optigold crashed...MainMenu.USR is toastedFrom: Lance Julander Date: Tuesday, November 17, 1998
Time: 1:30:30 pmHi Shawn,
Little problem here. We're using the Runtime version of
Filemaker and the server that has all the files on it crashed.
When I rebooted the system, I got an error message saying that
MainMenu.USR is corrupted and that I should use the "Recover"
command to fix it.
I happen to have a trial version of FileMaker Pro that I
downloaded. I used the 'Recover' command in it and it said it
recovered the file. I then renamed the recovered file by back to
"MainMenu.USR", but Optigold won't open it. It says "The access
privileges in this file have been damaged or possibly tampered
with.. blah blah blah".
I tried to open the file with FileMaker and it wants a password.
As luck would have it, our automated backups haven't backed up
the last few nights.
Any help would truly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lance
