Search Again: 3.0 Slow-Down From: John May Date: Tuesday, December 12, 2000 Time: 12:51:35 pm We just installed QuickDNS onto our web server machine over the weekend, and since then have experienced major slow-downs in web serving after it's been running for 3-4 hours. I just downgraded to QuickDNS 2.x, and it seems to be back to it's normal zippy self. Our configuration is: G4/400 Sawtooth (newest) OS 9.0.4 w/MRJ 2.3.3 WebStar 4.3 w/Lasso 3.6.6.2 (frontmost app) QuickDNS 2.x/3.0 (10 megs ram assigned) Timbuktu 4.6.7 iDo Script Scheduler Okey Dokey Pro Keep It Up AutoBoot Has anyone else seen QuickDNS 3.0 cause this behavior? It didn't seem to affect the machine we run it on as a secondary server as well, if that provides any insight.
