Re: QuickDNS Pro 3.0.1 install problemFrom: Men & Mice Support Date: Thursday, January 25, 2001
Time: 4:09:43 pmChuck, look in the Utilities folder.
QuickDNS Pro Remote and QuickDNS Pro Load Balancer are faceless
background applications. They are just like regular applications,
except they have no user interface, and they don't show up in the
applications menu or the About This Computer dialog. They're kind of
like extensions that way.
In order to be able to quit them, since they can't be brought to the
front and otherwise have no menu bar, we provided two AppleScript
applications that simply tell them to quit. There are certainly
alternative methods, such as any utility that will let you kill
"background processes" (as fba's are sometimes called).
