On hold accounts

After a person is on hold and then pays their bill, when their hold status
is released, the exp. date does not go back to what is should be. All our
accounts exp. dates are on the 1st. Isn't OG suppose to prorate the time
on hold so the expiration date would go back to being the same, 1st of
every month, like before? If so, how do I set this up?
