This should be possible with the Mac OS X version.

Does Mac OS X support this out of the box? If so, then yes, this
capability should be available.

[I'm still trying to get Mac OS X to not crash my machine every few
minutes, so I haven't been able to test this.]

Yes there is. It's in the Assistant. Look for the option to "Clone an
existing zone". This was made available as of 3.0, with a bugfix in
3.0.1.

If you don't want to clone an existing zone, create a template by
exporting an existing zone. You can them import it using a different
name. You can also copy records out of one zone and paste them into
another - select all records, copy, switch to the new zone, and paste.
