Stability and Speed - 3.01

Hello,

I have/had been running version 2.X for a long time now. Just
yesterday I downloaded version 3.01 before buying the upgrade (so I'm
running the trial version). I'm running OS 8.6.

#1 - Is there known problems with 3.01 as far as being stable, any
known conflicts? My system has frozen several times running 3.01.
As I said, I ran 2.X for a long time - I've never had the system
freeze like this. Also, I can consistently make it freeze. If I
run the manager, make a change, save it - go to the server and do a
"restart" - it freezes every time. I just put macsbugs in and have a
stdlog of that.

#2 - It seems that this version is slower. That it processes
requests slower (considerably slower). I've noticed it when doing
DNS lookups with Mactcp Watcher - it takes a lot longer to get a
response. As a test, I changed to an outside DNS server and it
improved dramatically. So, I went back to 2.2 and it too responded
quicker.

I've noticed that my Summary Pro that refers to it for DNS look ups
also takes much longer to process those look ups. Summary Pro
reports how many requests per minute it's processing. I've documented
this by going back and forth several times between the two server
versions.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
