Actually, now that we've brought back AppleScript support (in the 3.5
beta), changing large quantities of records is not really a problem.
We'll be including a number of handy scripts with QuickDNS Manager
3.5 for Mac OS 8/9/X. If you have any requests, please let me know
off-list; we'd like to include any and all generally useful,
technically feasible scripts that we can. Currently, we have:
Find & Replace Hostname (changes SOA, NS, MX, CNAME, and SRV record data)
Find & Replace IP Address
Change Subnet
Add Slave Server (configures a slave server, optionally adds NS records)
Add record to all zones
$Generate (similar to the BIND directive of the same name)
Export Server Configuration
Import Server Configuration
Of course, for any more specific needs, you can use these scripts
we'll be including as starting points.
