>Okay, I am confused to say the least with the Time Usage Import.
Heres what you do, step by step.
First, load your log into ms word. Do a search and replace, replacing all
instances of <CR><TAB> with just <TAB>.
OK, now that sounds easy doesnt it. Well, it is if your an expert on
microsoft word. For those who aren't, here's what you do....
Under "edit" menu, select "replace". When the box comes up, click
"more"....under "special", click "paragraph mark". Then under "special",
click "tab character"
Now move down to the "replace with" box, go to "special" , and click "tab
character"
Click "replace all"
Save the resulting file. I call mine "out.txt".
Now start the parser.usr utility.
Click "import"....locate your "out.txt" file.
Click "scan data" until you find a stop record....
line up the following:
Acct-Status-Type: with Record Type input
User name with login input
Last login with acct session ID
Acct session time with Time online input
Click "import"...leave the checkbox empty on the next screen.
Hit "ok"
After the import, click "view"
Examine the output. Hopefully it's ok....Click the "accounts" button in the
top left...then "time usage parser"
Click "output"
Make up a new filename .....i call mine "june.csv"....of course if its
July's usage, then july.csv might be a more appropriate name <BG>
Clear all the records so that your ready for next time......
You can now go to optigold and import the usage..(june.csv)
There......easy eh <G>
Im using Radius for NT. Procedure may be slightly different for other
logfile formats....
