Re: Update from 3.0 to 3.5From: Men & Mice Support Date: Friday, May 4, 2001
Time: 6:39:03 amHold on there - please don't go jumping to the conclusion that we're
not playing fair. I'm not permitted to go into too many specifics.
Here's what I can tell you:
- If you own a 3.0 license, it covers two Mac OS servers (with
certain limitations).
- The license terms are changing for 3.5, so that a single key only
covers one single server.
- The upgrade from 3.0 to 3.5 is free. That means free. We're not
going to reduce the number of Mac OS servers you can run it on. If
you want to use QuickDNS 3.5 on two servers, please contact our sales
department for resolution.
- When I answered Matt's question, I stated that I didn't know if
we'd charge him for a key for his Linux server. That doesn't mean
that we would definitely charge him for it - it means I didn't know.
The matter has since then been resolved by our sales department. If
you have a similar situation, please contact our sales department for
more information. <mailto:sales@menandmice.com>
