Although they strongly encourage you to install and host their software,
OpenSRS allow you to begin by using the software hosted on their server, at
the addresses:

http://resellers.opensrs.net/
http://manage.opensrs.net/

I've been using this interface for half a year. My colleagues in another
firm have been using this interface for something like two years. Neither of
us have received any request to stop using the interface.

So although OpenSRS prefer that you host their software, they certainly (in
the cases I'm aware of) allow you to access the software hosted on their
system for as long as you like.
