Doh! I've been blaming IE for this(becase OmniWeb seems to compensate
for it). I finally sent Microsoft feedback after IE v5.1.1 didn't fix
it, and now it looks like it's not their fault after all.

My problem is with my bank's e-banking site...the CGIs create
embedded links(in forms, buttons, etc.) with the hostname in all
caps, which means that I can't even log in. They don't know how to
switch to lowercase on their end...I asked them.

I don't suppose anyone here knows how to alter the behavior of
NetInfo/lookupd to make this work(even if only on a host by host
basis...
