Re: secondary server not working on most domainsFrom: Men & Mice Support Date: Tuesday, June 5, 2001
Time: 3:57:34 amWhat version of QuickDNS are you using? That affects the details of
the answer. I will assume you're using QuickDNS 3.5 for the rest of
this message.

Yes, that is correct. Since it's able to load recently-added domains,
check the non-functioning zones' master server IP address. To do this:
- Open the zone options dialog. There are several ways to do this;
the easiest is to hold down the option key and double-click on the
zone.
- From the popup menu, select your secondary server.
- Make sure that the IP address listed is the address of the primary
server. If it isn't, change it.
Repeat for every zone. If there are a large number of zones with
problems, you can use AppleScript to first delete all zones, then
recreate them all correctly. If you need a script to delete all zones
from the secondary server, contact me off list, since I just made one
for my own use a few hours ago. The script to create all the slave
zones on the server is included with QuickDNS Manager for Mac OS.
