No, above.net has delegated the Class C (208.184.a.0/24) to your ISP
(lan2wan.com), and lan2wan has created a zone for the Class C in which they've
got PTRs assigning each address a hostname in the dsl.lan2wan.com. sub-domain
of their own domain (lan2wan.com.). The hostnames are based on the IP
addresses, probably for convenience and ease of identification.

You'd need to work with your ISP to get them to do a classless delegation of
the subnet to you. The classless zone would typically be called something like
b-c.a.184.208.in-addr.arpa., where b and c are the boundaries of your subnet.
The ISP would create CNAMEs in their a.184.208.in-addr.arpa. zone that look
like:
x.a.184.208.in-addr.arpa. CNAME x.b-c.a.184.208.in-addr.arpa.
They'd also put delegation records in the a.184.208.in-addr.arpa. zone,
delegating the b-c.a.184.208.in-addr.arpa. zone to your server(s). You would
then create a zone on your server, named b-c.a.184.208.in-addr.arpa., where
you would include PTRs corresponding to the CNAMEs in the parent (Class C)
zone:
x.b-c.a.184.208.in-addr.arpa. PTR hostname.softlinkcorp.com.
