Re: Networked ModeFrom: Mike Oas Date: Thursday, January 7, 1999
Time: 12:49:28 pmShawn,
I understand Filemaker has a Filemaker Pro 4.1 version, and a server
version. Will the Filemaker Pro 4.1 version, running on 98/NT, allow for
web-based publishing and additional functions of OptiGold, or are they only
supported on FM Pro server? We want to move the "always open" version of FM
to a stand-alone, and we're running UNIX servers so we can't put it there...
From their web-site, FM Pro server only appears to offer enhanced
performance, remote administration, 100 simultaneous DBs (not really an
issue...yet) and concurrent TCP/IP and IPX support. Is it critical for the
web stuff?
Cheers,
Mike
PS This software is exceptional. Keep up the outstanding work.
