You must be *very* tired because I read the whole thing again and
it makes perfect sense ;-)

Ok, let me start again from a different angle and hopefully this
will make more sense. If not, I may have to call you to explain it.

We don't use telescript to automatically add or remove a
customer's record from RADIUS. Instead, we have Optigold do a
complete dump to a RADIUS file each day. If the customer is not
in Optigold, or they are expired, their records won't be in the
RADIUS dump and they won't be able to login. So far we've been
doing the RADIUS dumps manually because of some confusion about
how Optigold works.

Ok, now having established that. We send our install people out
to physically visit the customer's location to set up their
machines. Our install people logon to the Internet from the
customer's machine (using an existing account) and then using a
web page script, add the new customer's username and password to
the RADIUS file.

At this point, the customer is in our RADIUS file and can login
to our system fine. However, they have not been entered into
Optigold (that usually happens the next day when the installer
brings the paperwork back to the office).

So, if we were to have Optigold do our daily RADIUS dump right
now, that new customer that was just signed up would not be in
Optigold yet. The new RADIUS file would be created and the new
customer would no longer be able to login (they were in RADIUS
moments ago, but they won't be in the new RADIUS dump from Optigold).

Now a clip of my original message. Hopefully it will all make
sense now.

before* it does a RADIUS dump.

Clear as mud?

Thanks,

Lance
