No.
First of all, with Bind 8, the old 'kill' commands are obsolete.
There's now something called 'ndc', the name daemon controller. It
can be used to (re)load individual zones.
Secondly, QuickDNS Remote does this automatically when you save a
zone - first, it writes out the zone file, after which it uses the
ndc command channel to cause named to load in the new zone file.
