Shawn, and happy users on the list -
I am looking to convert from our customer piece of shit perl billing
system. I was close to choosing Platypus, but I don't like having to
have NT and SQL server around just to support it.
Also, they are a bit more arrogant about some features (and I have a real
problem with the ever-renewing key, though they will for a price make
their software work with a dongle).
Cost will probably be about the same between the products.
But re: this issue of report output.
I am concerned - is Filemaker robust enough and featureful enough to
be used? I've already seen strangeness where forms get confused and
though no data is corrupted, screen output gets strange.
So, can any happy users tell me, either privately or in public, about
their migration experiences, and particularly about things that they
still can't do with Optigold? I am convinced that if enough people
want a feature, it'll be implemented. Shawn's history of responsiveness
and active enhancement is impressive.
Thanks for any input anyone can give.
Thanks,
Avi
