A few users have reported a similar problem and we've been investigating this for a while, but unfortunately we've not been able to find out what is causing this. We've tried to recreate this problem in-house, but so far we've been unable to crash our test servers.

We will continue working on this problem and I hope that we'll be able to solve it soon.

One thing we are looking at in particular is that some malformed TCP packets might be causing the crashes. You might want to configure your firewall to filter out TCP packets on the DNS port for the server and see whether it makes any difference (of course you'll need to allow TCP traffic for your secondary servers for zone transfers).

I'll find out what is causing this delay and have the key sent to you ASAP.
