From: andrew Date: Thursday, July 12, 2001 Time: 10:26:35 am Hi All: I have a domain I'm hosting which is using my main mailservers, so the MX records in theirdomain.com are pointing to mydomain.com: theirdomain.com MX 10 mail.mydomain.com theirdomain.com MX 20 mail2.mydomain.com If I want to set up a different mailserver for them (let's call it "localrouting") for a separate purpose (it will only be used for outgoing mail), do I need an MX for that server or just an A record? So I'd have: localrouting.theirdomain.com A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx I don't want incoming mail directed to this server ever! TIA, Andrew
