Load BalancingFrom: Simon Forster Date: Monday, July 23, 2001
Time: 3:57:59 amThere must be an FAQ or definitive guide for setting up load balancing
using QDNS 3.5?
I'd like to run 2 similar set-ups on completely different networks. Is
this possible and how do I go about setting this up?
FWIW, we've got some low volume clients which we host on our machines.
At the moment, this is done from a fairly expensive co-lo facility but
I'd like to switch this across to our ADSL lines. The bandwidth is more
than adequate for the sort of volumes we're talking about here but the
robustness of service isn't (one of our lines has been down 3 times in 9
months, once for over a week). If we use the 99/1% split, we can, in
effect, have a backup for our primary servers. I'd just like to
understand a bit more about how to set it up.
I've checked the QDNS web site but cannot find an FAQ. A URL would be
appreciated!
TIA
Simon Forster
