Search Again: OS X install says cannot install on network volume From: Keith Powell Date: Thursday, August 9, 2001 Time: 2:26:04 pm I keep getting messages when trying to install some, not all, apps on OS X. I go through the installer, and get to a point where I get a pop-up that says "Cannot install on a network volume". Is there some reason why some apps will not install on / ? Even when I create new folders and try to direct the installing app there, the folder name disappears, and I can only see / as the option for the volume the app can/will install in. Any ideas, other than reinstalling and making separate volumes on the same disk?
