Currently, 8.2.3.

If there's a security-related update, you should expect a new release
from us within short order. I don't think we'll commit to a specific
time frame, but it shouldn't be more than a couple of days.

Yes. However, in a pinch, you can even compile and install from the
Bind source code if a new version of Bind is released.
>How significant are the changes that m&m made, and in what parts of the code?
Extremely minor so far. I don't have a list of specific changes.
We may, at some point in the future, release a version with more
substantial changes to Bind, such as incorporating support for the
load balancing and fault tolerance mechanism in QuickDNS Server for
Mac OS 8/9. But even then, it should be possible to swap in the stock
Bind release without losing anything other than QuickDNS-specific
features. In other words, you'll still have a working DNS server if
you do that.

You mean, release our changes as a patch to be applied to the source
code before compiling? We are unlikely to do so. However, again, if
you need to quickly update to the latest version of Bind, QuickDNS
will work OK with that. After all, the Linux and Solaris (and soon,
FreeBSD) versions of QuickDNS use the stock version of Bind.
