Bind vs QDNS mac questionFrom: Gary Richter Date: Friday, August 17, 2001
Time: 5:21:07 pmBind vs QDNS mac question
changing isp's and my new isp sent me a CIDRD reverse delegation for
216.210.202.64/26 zone file for us to import into QDNS
This one comment section went right over my head. I assume this
something required of bind and not QDNS 3.5 Mac or ????
On the digest so a private reply would be appreciated as I am going
to make the swap out in the morning.
; To set up a primary nameserver for this (reverse) domain, you will need
; to add a line
;
; (If using BIND 4.x):
; primary panavise.202.210.216.in-addr.arpa <zonefile>
;
; (If using BIND 8.x):
; zone "panavise.202.210.216.in-addr.arpa"
; {
; type master;
; file "<zonefile>";
; };
;
; into your nameserver's named.boot or named.conf file respectively, where
; <zonefile> is replaced with the path/filename of your zonefile.
