Re: Problems installing OS X Manager 3.5.1From: Nicholas Orr Date: Thursday, September 6, 2001
Time: 5:08:25 pmI also had this problem. After it asks you for a password to install
the software, it disappears and asks you for a password to "make changes
in core services". The second time this comes up (same dialog again,
still asking for a password, with no name pre-entered) I hit cancel, and
then it asked me if I wanted to continue or exit. I hit continue and it
worked fine.
Also the upgrader didn't have any instructions as to stopping and
restarting the service. Should I have quit the server first? Can I
restart DNS without restarting the whole box?
Thanks,
Nick
