Re: zone transfer OK, but SOA query not !

The first thing that comes to mind is, do they have the right master
server IP address in their server's configuration for the zone?

I'm able to get the serial number for your zone just fine from every
server listed in the zone's NS records except for down.spin.it. If
the server they're talking to you about is, for example, up.spin.it,
and if up.spin.it looks to down.spin.it as the master server, that
would explain the problem.

If, instead, they're talking about down.spin.it, it seems to be
having trouble parsing its local copy of the zone. (I say that
because it refuses to answer queries about your zone, but it answers
queries about spin.it just fine.) If this is the case, maybe they
should clear their cached version of the zone, check over the slave
configuration for the zone, and try again.
