Whoa! Yes, domains names are supposed to be case-insensitive.
Email addresses (the account name or recipient half -- everything to the left of "@" ) MAY be case sensitive, depending on the mail server. On some Unix systems, case sensitivity is a configuration option and some choose to run with case-sensitivity.
