I'd be interested to know if this is addressed. I'm guessing that the applicable RFC, whatever it is, says that [a..z] [A..Z] [0..9] etc. may be used in email addresses. And they may indeed. Any RFC experts out there know if case sensitivity of email account names is addressed?

If the RFCs don't address case sensitivity, then a mail server being case-sensitive is not being "broken" any more than an OS which is case-sensitive is broken. It's not the server's fault if you send email to a non-existent account.
So, is case-sensitivity addressed in any RFC?
