This sounds like the NAT server issue I was mentioning earlier. With
most NAT servers, you can't connect between inside machines using the
public IP address - the port mapping doesn't work, because the NAT
doesn't work right. It sounds like your NAT server has this problem.

Just to be sure: Are you using the public name of your server, or its
internal IP address?
