One more/clarification on this.

Currently most of my domains use mail. so I will slowly
transition to the protocol based names.

so my inbound for some domains will remain mail. for now, the
"new" ones would use mx1. And my backup mail server will be
mx2.colony.net for all domains.

What is the proper way to handle this?
