This is making more and more sense to me now. :-) Pretty soon I'll be a
DNS expert. (Not!)
Speaking of DNS Expert, I donwloaded the demo. When I first started
running it I saw the major errors were the lack of PTR records (which DO
exist, but obviously my server isn't the one being queried for the
reverse zone).
Now, after removing the needless MX record for mail2.officemedic.net
(which didn't exist anyway), DNS Expert reports "There are no MX records
in the zone." There are actually two; one for mx1.officemedic.net and the
other for lists.officemedic.net. However, neither shows in a DNS query.
Is that because I just changed them? (And I *am* still sending and
receiving mail.)
