QuickDNS 3.5.1 not responding to DNS requests? From: admin@quickmailpro.com Date: Friday, February 1, 2002
Time: 3:08:57 pmHi,
All DNS requests regarding johnnysflowers.com (www. and mail.) are not being
resolved by QuickDNS Pro 3.5.1. Primary DNS server is ns.universalmac.com
running QuickDNS Pro 3.5.1 on OSX Server 10.1.2. Secondary DNS server is
QuickDNS Pro 3.5.1 on OS 9 (ns2.universalmac.com). Whois from networksolutions
properly lists ns.universalmac.com and ns2.universalmac.com as the DNS servers
for the domain johnnysflowers.com. Using nslookup to directly query
ns.universalmac.com and ns2.universalmac.com it properly resolves both names,
however from ANY other DNS server I have tried it does not resolve properly. ??
The domain name, johnnysflowers.com expired from network solutions in June of
2001, however it has not cleared from the system yet - we are trying to switch
the owner name, and letting it expire and clear from the system was the only
solution that made sense. However, although it has expired, it has NOT cleared
from the system, and has been working for many months without any issue. I
made some minor changes to the DNS records for johnnysflowers.com, adding a
mail2.johnnysflowers.com, however it still does not resolve properly. ??
I'm at a loss here, everything looks like it is working properly, everything
looks like it is configured correctly, yet nothing is working.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Noah
