auto connection on startupFrom: Joseph D''Andrea Date: Sunday, February 10, 2002
Time: 1:07:55 pmI know this has been covered before... and it even worked for me at one time.
New iMac being setup and my admin station. QuickDNS Manager 3.5.1
MacOS 10.1.2. I set the master password (funny the SAVE button is not
active). I change something on the PREFERENCES pane to make the SAVE
button active and click it. Then I go to SERVER->CONNECT and enter a
server name, password and check the "Connect at startup" box. Do same
for second server. Quit QDNSManager. Come back some time later and do
not get connected to the servers automatically and do not get asked
for the MasterPassword. When I look in ~/Library/Preferences/ I see
the "QuickDNS Manager Server List" file and when I open it with
BBEdit, I see the server name and their {presumabably} encrypted
passwords.
I've tried trashing all QDNS prefs that I can find and re-downloading
and re-installing QDNSManager.
Thoughts? Solutions? Hacks? Snacks?
