Hmm... That was supposed to be fixed in 3.5.1. I see that it wasn't.

Another odd one. In the Preferences dialog, have you checked
"Auto-Connect to Servers"?
The checkbox in the Connect to Server dialog shouldn't be active
without this option turned on, but I see that it is. I'll report this
to our engineering staff.
