I mean, we're talking about two records in the same zone. We're not
(in this case) discussing a CNAME record that points out of the zone,
to a name in another zone.
In this particular case, I don't see any real reason to prefer one
over the other. Yes, in general, CNAME records are a danger to
neophytes, but I don't see anything wrong with this particular setup.
