As Shawn said below this works great even for customers that pay two months or
just stay a month in advance. Also we have many customers that pay quarterly,
half-year and yearly these customers get a discount and the billing cycle is
set to the customer product that reflects this price and those customers get a
quarterly, half-year and yearly billing.

I just learned how the override invoice type worked about two months ago, (I
admit I had read it did it, just didn't have time to find how) and since then
we have been offering a discount for email only bill (2.00 off) and automatic
credit card or debit with email only notice (5.00 off). Customers are just
thrilled and more and more jumping on the discounted prices. These from people
who a year ago wanted snail mail only. I think part comes from the customers
confidence in us.

Also, the use of the grace button is a stroke of genius. All of us blame the
stupid computer when a customer account is turned off (even if it is from
customer not paying) and techs are quick to assure customers we can turn back
on their account in two seconds we just need to know when the payment will be
here or they can go on line and pay and we will tell that stupid computer to
give them time. Now we are the nice guys, when I was doing it manually (did I
really ever do that?) it was always me the bad guy.
