I don't mind writing a script to make the changes each time, my concern is finding something in your code that stays consistent so that I can search for it and replace as necessary...If I have to modify the script each time so that it correctly modifies the .txt document, I might as well modify the .txt document! IE, if I search for: <textarea name="Notes" and have the script change it, what would are the chances of that portion changing?
