Re: case sensitive DNS in Mac OS X with QDNS 2.2.4

Paul,

I'm sorry this isn't to your liking. Some comments:

- The problem is related to a combination of a Mac OS X bug and a
QuickDNS bug. (BTW, is this bug still present in Mac OS X 10.1.4? We
haven't tested.) In other words, it takes two bugs to break things -
either one by itself doesn't cause a problem.

- Although the change seems to be simple, it required significant
engineering work in the 2.2.x code base, and we felt that the effort
couldn't be justified for the 2.2.x version. We are a small company
with limited resources, and sometimes we must make difficult
decisions on how to allocate these resources.

- We do in fact offer an upgrade - did you miss it on our ordering
page? The 2->3 upgrade is far less expensive than you stated, and
version 3 is a significant upgrade - the biggest upgrade to QuickDNS
so far. The upgrade price is $195 per version 2 license, and each
version 2 license covers two servers. If you have two servers, just
upgrade one version 2 license, specifically mentioning that you're
using two servers, and you'll get two keys for version 3.
