Search Again: dynamic dns and ttl''s From: rashantha de silva Date: Monday, May 6, 2002 Time: 8:48:58 am hello what has been the overall experience of dynamic dns. pros and cons. is anybody using this with static ip addresses to achieve redundancy? can this be achieved by low ttl settings with quick dns? is this the same beast or totally different application. why can't quick dns servers give out A records that change dynamiclly? i have seen some expensive routers that do this while monitoring two incoming lines. sorry for asking vague questions but i know this list is very knowledgeable. thanks - rashantha - rush@idealzone.com
