Search Again: QuickDNS Pro 3.5.3 and NetBarrier -> Crash From: Wolfgang Schimmel Date: Tuesday, May 7, 2002 Time: 7:58:16 am Hello, we are running QuickDNS Pro 3.5.3. in combination with LetterRip Pro 3.0.7 on a Mac G3 233 Mhz. under MacOS 8.6. This duo hardly ever caused problems (it passed several machines and versions and was all in all stable in the last 3 years). After installing NetBarrier 2.5 on Monday we had several crashes which followed a complete freeze of QDNS and it's killing with brute force (alt-apple-esc sometimes did not quit QDNS itself but one of it's two background tasks, remote and RoadBalancer). Today the crashes reached a frequency of 1 per 45 minutes. After removing NetBarrier (which also runs on our WebServer without causing any problems) the system seems to be stable again and runs without crashing since 4 hours. Therefore I expect some kind of conflict between QDNS and NetBarrier. Does anybody know more about this issue? I would appreciate your hints.
