Re: Change IP Address of Master Globally? From: Men & Mice Support Date: Tuesday, May 7, 2002
Time: 2:22:05 pmWhat operating system are you using for QuickDNS Manager?
If you're using Mac OS (8.5 - X 10.1.4), just delete all the affected
zones on the slave and use an AppleScript we included to recreate the
configuration. The script is called "Add Slave Server".
If you're using Windows, you're probably using a BIND-based server
for the slave. You can copy the configuration files out of
/var/named/conf/zoneopt to a workstation, use a text editor to do a
mass find & replace, and then move them back. Just be sure to
preserve the Unix-style linebreaks instead of Windows-style
linebreaks.
