Ok, were missing the point of my question here.

You send me an email in Optigold. It show's up in Red.

I open the email and reply. It turns blue.

You responds back to me... what color will the email be?

No, you do not need to close the ticket. The check mark on the main menu
will only show up if there is a NEW ticket (it does not show old OPEN
tickets).

It would not show up either way regardless if you close the ticket or not
(at least it shouldn't).
