HAIR PULLING - DNS/AOL Mail Problem.From: m i l e s Date: Saturday, June 15, 2002
Time: 7:52:07 amIve just about had it with AOL. Who do they think they are ?
Problem:
I run my own mail/list servers. Each and everytime I send a piece of mail
from my servers (now), it gets bounced back to me with either DNS FAILURE,
or UNKNOWN HOST. If its from my mailserver I get a DNS FAILURE.
If its from my list server (seperate IP), I get an UNKNOWN HOST error in
my log files.
Ive tried to resolve this with AOL....they keep telling me that MY DNS
is the problem. The first time I said....Ok....it must be me, I went through
all my DNS tables and sure enough, I found nothing which they
mentioned....the problem still persists....and Ive emailed them back
several times telling them its not me, its YOU GUYS....nothing.
Ok so here's what Im willing to do....I'd love another pair of eyes
on this....anyone want to take a gander at my DNS and tell me
if Im nuts ?
The problem domain ? vision-media.com (that and every other domain I host).
XHELPX! Please
Sincerely,
