If you have 1.8.3, go to the Reports preferences and set the "Billing
Cycle Products Only Show Current Accounts" to 'Yes'. :-)
As for the login thing, you are right, and I fixed it.

It would be created by an employee, but the setup process was never
completed. (Probably due to a disconnection from the server for whatever
reason). You can change it to "Current".
