Search Again: Program Linking on 9.1 Mac Problems From: George Ruzzier Date: Tuesday, July 9, 2002 Time: 5:28:10 pm Hi, We recently changed the way we have OptiGold clients connect to our QuickDNS Server, running Classic 9.1. We were on a LAN, and would use Appletalk "names". Now we are on the WAN, using Appletalk "ip addresses" to connect program linking. Never had a problem with multiple clients connecting to the DNS server using names. Now, I am having major problems connecting using ip address. It works fine on the EIMS server - so I suspect there may some issue with what is running on DNS server. We run QuickDNS Server, Remote, and Manager on same machine for Optigold integration on Mac OS 9.1. When we try to connect now via TCP/IP program linking, the client freezes. On the same client, we connect to our EIMS server with no problem. Any ideas?? Thanks!
