The manual does get updated every 2-3 months (the first revision was about
80 pages, and it's grown to 500+ now).
As far as searching for things, you could always search 100,000+ messages
that have been sent to the list... :-)

It does search on the body as it is (it doesn't search on subjects unless
you specifically tell it to under the "Advanced" button). What exactly are
you searching for that you are unable to find?
