I think they protect themselves from idiocies of TTL's set at 15 or 60
seconds, and simply upgrade those TTL's to an AOL-minium TTL of, say, some
10's of minutes. I don't think they would up it to 2 weeks, since that
would really hinder their delivery to a valid MX / A that changed.
Note that AOL's own MX hostname ip's are set to .... 300. :))
