MacRADIUS --------- There is a seamless MacRADIUS implimentation... it's completely finished and will be part of the 1.8.5 release. It includes: - Account Creation - Account On Hold - Account Restore From Hold - Account Deletion - Password Change - Realtime Login Check (checks MacRADIUS to see if login is in use) - Support for an independant secondary (backup) MacRADIUS server for all functions - Option to completely rebuild MacRADIUS server based on Optigold ISP data (in case the server was completely hosed) Anyway, the MacRADIUS stuff is actually very, very, very cool and Optigold ISP doesn't need to run on the server at all. I put two MacRADIUS servers up for testing, and it was pretty cool seeing users magically appear on both servers in about 0.1 seconds. Sweet. EIMS (Eudora Internet Mail Server) ---------------------------------- I'm hoping to get a seamless integration with EIMS in place before 1.8.5, but I haven't done it yet... But that's the plan... Telnet On Mac ------------- Finally... {grin} It also looks like 1.8.5 is going to add telnet functionality for the Mac clients of Optigold ISP. The reason it wasn't in there a long time ago is that I wrote the code to do it, then the company that had the API I wrote the code with decided they didn't "feel like" licensing it. Sorta pissed me off since I wrote all the code already... Anyway, until I find a good API that will make it transparent, I'm just going to use BetterTelnet and just script it via a bunch of AppleScripts. So I've been playing with it a little bit this morning and it looks like it will be cake to impliment. The only function that it's not going to have that the PC side will is the ability to echo back a dialog. But whatever... {shrug} at least it will work until I find something better. So...
