Re: Generate invoices

Hi Chris, many thanks.

This is how we have set up the domains, billing just via domain billing and
not as a cycle. The invoices do go out ok, with the correct time code, but
what we are getting is a long list on domain invoices under 'generate
invoices, that we cant for some reason get rid of.

If we hit the genarate all, it goes throught he motions, but invoices do not
get sent out again (thank goodness !)

Just need to eliminate these, also seen that 'one of' invoices also appear
in this , even when paid up, and are starting to show 'past due' when there
is nothing.

Once these points are understood by us, we are ready to roll..

Best Regards

bill

Bill

Not sure if this helps, but here's how we handle domains.

All domains are entered through Services with the customer record into
the system. The very first invoice for the registration of the domain is
processed manually and posted to the customer. We allow the customer 30
days to pay for this invoice. We do not ever add a billing cycle item to
the customer's record for domain transactions.

For all renewals we use Domain Manager. Produce a report (daily) on
which domains are up for renewal and then hit the INVOICE button. (I
guess you could automate this step). When the invoice is paid, Optigold
automatically updates the expiry date on the domain with domain manager,
to reflect the new date.

That's it. Nothing more to it from our point of view.

All the best
Chris
