Not on Mac OS X. Other than classic Mac OS, QuickDNS 3.5 (and later)
is a server management system that manages the underlying server that
comes with the OS. With Mac OS X, because it is a more controlled
environment, we also install the DNS server (BIND 8, various
versions), possibly replacing the version installed by the Mac OS X
installer.
